I missed this when it first appeared a little over a week ago, but since none of the predictions have yet come to pass perhaps it's still worth passing along. The Guardian asked ten scholars to assess the biggest threats to the Earth over the course of the next seventy years. Viral pandemic is on the list, as is terrorism, nuclear war, and a few things you probably hadn't thought to worry about--like telomere erosion.
